      <image:title>Discover - Our Service</image:title>
<image:caption>The healthy equine gastrointestinal microbiota is yet to be mapped using whole genome sequencing, which is the process of determining all the DNA sequences present in this environment. Equine Integrated Health will deliver a gut microbiota DNA-based faecal testing service, with results benchmarked against a proprietary database of “healthy” microbiomes. Reports include clear, individualised recommendations that enable early intervention and long-term performance monitoring. Horse owners collect samples themselves and receive results via a simple digital report. In addition to core pathology testing, we will: Identify horses at risk before clinical signs emerge. Support diagnosis of gastrointestinal issues such as gastric ulcers, potentially avoiding costly and invasive procedures. Serve secondary markets by offering research services to veterinary feed and supplement companies.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Equine Integrated Health is developing the first veterinary service offering microbiota testing to identify deficiencies in horse gastrointestinal health. The gastrointestinal tract of a horse contains trillions of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses, collectively known as the microbiome. The microbiome is essential to a healthy horse, helping digestion, nutrient absorption, energy production and protection from disease. Disruption in the microbiota is linked to disease states such as colic, equine metabolic syndrome, laminitis, equine asthma and behavioural issues.</image:caption>
